Pipe Rehabilitation, Kiosk Construction and Installation at Aberdeen and Kingtom District Metering Areas (DMAs).

This project involves the creation of District Metered Areas (DMAs) in Aberdeen and Kingtom Areas of Freetown. This would be realized by the installation of bulk meters at designated entry and exit points of the two DMAs, the supply and installation of Ductile Iron and HDPE pipes and fittings, metering installations and connections of all customers of the two DMAs, and the construction of water kiosks in both communities where those that are underserved by the pipe network can purchase water.

Also included is the refurbishment of a control room within the Guma Valley Water Company building.

 

Aberdeen DMA

  • Supply and Installation of;

- 2.5 km of Ductile Iron Pipes (OD 100 & OD 60).

- 2km of HDPE OD 20 customer connection pipes.

- 966 DN25 and DN20 customer flow Meters.

- 3 bulk meters.

- 50 manifold units.

- Air valve, section valves and accessories.

  • Construction and installation of valves, manifold and bulk meters chambers.
  • Concrete foundations for kiosks and tanks
  • Kiosk fabrication with steel plates
  • Water piping and Installations
  • Solar Electricity Installations

 

Kingtom DMA

  • Supply and Installation of;

- 2km of HDPE OD 20 customer connection pipes.

- 80 DN25 customer flow meters.

- 1 Bulk Meter

  • Construction and installation of valves and bulk meter chambers.
  • Rehabilitation of GVWC Control Room at Head Office.
  • Concrete foundations for kiosks and tanks.
  • Kiosk fabrication with steel plates.
  • Water piping and installations.
  • Solar electricity installations.
